I’m Dr. Christiane Speed. I am a licensed psychologist in California and North Carolina.
I am credentialed as a Health Service Psychologist with the National Register of Health Service Psychologists and a Certified Health Service Provider Licensed Psychologist with The North Carolina Psychology Board.
I earned my Masters and Doctor of Psychology degree in Clinical Psychology from Argosy University, College of Psychology and Behavioral Sciences, Alameda, California. In addition, I have also completed professional training in Maternal Mental Health and Advanced Perinatal Mental Health Psychotherapy from Postpartum Support International.
Before relocating to Greensboro, North Carolina in 2021, I worked for several non-profit mental health organizations and in private practice setting in California, providing mental health services to children, adolescents and adults. In addition to my work as a psychologist, I also possess many years of experience working in other roles in the business world, which provided me a practical understanding of the work challenges faced by many of my clients.
My work is grounded in evidence-based therapy approaches including:
- Acceptance and Commitment Therapy
- Behavioral Therapy
- Client Centered Therapy
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
- Cognitive Processing
- Family Systems

- Mindfulness Based Approaches
- Positive Psychology Insights
- Psychodynamic Therapy
- Solution Focused Therapy
I believe that every person’s specific situations or experiences with mental health disorders are going to be different. Likewise, each person’s path and journey to getting well and living a healthier life is going to vary. This is why I employ a variety of methods in therapy and work collaboratively with my clients on developing an individualized treatment plan that will meet their specific mental health needs.
